Since she was a child, Daniela Poletti Zino, born in Piedmont (Northern Italy), has been fascinated by craftsmanship but she dedicated her early studies to pedagogy. After her second child was born, she rediscovered her love for arts and crafts.
She then decided to fully dedicate herself to the art of glass: she attended different courses about glass fusion, specialising in artisanal craftsmanship techniques. In the early 1990’s, her first experimentations, emblem of creativity and inventiveness, gave birth to a collection of glass flowers and glass cactuses. They were an instant success.
From that moment her activity has grown steadily. A few months later, she exhibited her first tableware collection at Salone del Mobile in Milano. In 1992, the Vetrofuso adventure officially started.
Twenty-five years after its foundation, Vetrofuso serves with pride a range of international high profile brands and distributors, hotels and restaurants, and with her bijoux collection, famous fashion designers, exporting not only its name, but the whole concept of ‘Made in Italy’ to all five continents.
After 15 years experience in the luxurious showcase of Maison & Object exhibition in Paris and a long-time participation in iSaloni WorldWide in Moscow, Vetrofuso was present at the first-ever exhibitions of M&O Asia in 2014 and M&O Americas in 2015, further strengthening its presence in the American and Asian markets.
La Madia Travel Food, a well-known food and kitchen magazine, rewards the Italian chef of the year with one of Daniela Poletti’s creations. Carlo Cracco received the Galvanina National Award for the “Best Chef 2014”.

Paola Navone, a well-known Italian architect, designer for many Italian and foreign brands, after meeting at the M&O Americas 2015 exhibition, paired Daniela Poletti’s aquamarine bracelet with her signature rings.
The Maison&Objet Paris September 2018 edition gave us great satisfaction. Our stand has been placed in the FOREVER Signature context in Hall 7. The protagonist of the stand was the new FIORI Collection, born from the collaboration with Andrea Merendi, an artist specialized in paper flowers. The two materials, paper and Murano glass, meet through a technique, developed by Daniela Poletti, who wants to make lasting the fragility and the ephemeral of both materials. During Fuorisalone 2018 (April 17th-22nd), in the Corso Como shop inside Brera Design District, Campomaggi hosted Daniela Poletti‘s creations, focusing on the precious contrast between her brittle handiwork and the lasting beauty of the bags over time. In this context it has been presented The Dancer, a sculpture in Murano glass and iron loosely based on the work of the famous artist Henri Matisse. It portrays dancer Josephine Baker, considered to be the first black star among the most acclaimed vedette in Paris. In a fusion of art and fashion, the work finds its manifestation in a ‘900 artistic-style sculpture, selecting extremely contemporary harmonious shapes and colors. The January 2018 edition of Maison&Objet Paris January 2018 gave us great satisfaction. The protagonist of the stand turned out to be the “Diamond Table“, designed by the architect Paolo Maria Russo. Inspired by the series of 67 cards commissioned by the noble Visconti di Modrone in 1441, Vetrofuso has reproduced 40 of them on Murano glass in 1:1 scale. This is a unique furnishing accessory, enriched by brass studs and golden mirror with a blue velvet border. We would like to share with you this fair cooperation between artisans: an installation made in Wrought Iron realized by the blacksmith Stefano Fagioli, displaying the golden and big fishes of the Campomaggi Brand, realized by us in Murano glass.
